I have two wonderful dogs.
They are my Great Danes.
One is a glossy black named Abigayle, the other, a harliquin, named Phantom.
They are my babies, although they are 4 1/2 years and 4 years old.
They are so loving and loyal and I feel so lucky to have them with me.
Both Danes are females and I feel privileged that they were both given to me by a special friend.
This friend has a sanctuary in the Adelaide Hills and she is a breeder of Great Danes.
My Danes are always there for me, always showing me their love.
They are there to protect me and I am forever thankful to them.
My Abigayle, I got when she was just 9 weeks old.
She is such a friendly animal.
Wants to be a friend to whoever walks in through my front door.
She loves cuddles and is a bit pushy at times to get them.
Phantom came to me when she was 6 months old and is a different natured dog.
She is very wary of people, and only comes to those people she knows and trusts.
They love going for rides in my station wagon and going for walks.
They love the beach and the water.
Despite their size Danes aren't big eaters.
They aren't allowed to carry a lot of weight on their long legs.
I have never had any trouble with my danes being destructive, and they are great indoor dogs.
Mine stay on my bed or lounge while I am at work.
